AGILITY TRAINING

As the show season is about to start we would like to ask all of you who come to club to contribute to the courses, you can do this by making a note of any areas on a course whilst competing that you found difficult, draw them down on a piece of paper and pass them to one of the Agility co-ordinators.

 

CHARITY FUND RAISING

THAMES CHARITIES 

 

Below are this years charities, voted for by the members at the AGM

on the 22nd Feb 2010

Pets As Therapy

Pets As Therapy is national charity and is unique in that it provides temperament
assessed/vaccinated PAT Dogs and PAT Cats with registered volunteers to hospitals, hospices, residential care homes, day centres, special needs schools and many other establishments, providing comfort, companionship and therapy. There are approximately 4,500 PAT Dogs and 108 PAT Cats bringing benefit to more than 130,000 people of all ages every single week throughout the UK.
 

Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust

Provides a life saving service for the Thames Valley area covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and just into Northamptonshire. The Trust is a charity which receives no funding from the NHS or from the National Lottery, but relies entirely on sponsorship, donations and fundraising activities to meet the running cost of £1.2M per annum. The Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust is a charity funded by the people of Thames Valley. The Air Ambulance started operating from White Waltham airfield in June 1999 and moved to RAF Benson in Oxfordshire in January 2007. The yellow Bolkow 105 helicopter carries life saving equipment and is crewed by a pilot and two paramedics.
 

Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs

Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs, formed in November of 2002, is a non-profit making
organisation. The team was awarded charity status in March 2004. Berkshire SAR Dogs is a
volunteer search dog group on call 24 hours a day, 365 Days a Year, to assist Lowland Search & Rescue Teams, the Police and other emergency services in locating lost or missing persons.
